2006 Class Projects

ABA

All ‘Bout Alumn
i - Marilyn Sweeney, Glenn Lurie, Lt. Jennifer Tejada, Jan Askew and Brian Johnson. ABA Team Photo!

Develop a Leadership Alumni link on the Chamber of Commerce website that celebrates the alumni of current and previous Leadership classes via a database of Leadership Alumni, and news tidbits about Leadership Alumni, and a Picture Gallery of Leadership Alumni. This is also an area where alumni can advertise their businesses and/or find out how to reconnect with their classmates from Leadership.

DARN

Disaster Assistance Registry of Novato - Annan Paterson, Suella Kennedy-Fulmer, Vance Ashe, Betty House, and Veronica Valero

When a disaster of the magnitude of Hurricane Katrina strikes, police, fire and other emergency personnel are often overwhelmed. DARN hopes to prevent that from happening in Novato by creating a database of skilled volunteers who are willing to assist emergency response personnel during a major disaster.

FLON

Future Leaders of Novato - Robert Clark, Carrie Piersen, Richard De Ramon, Nicolette Cunningham, and Jerilyn Caskey

When this team learned that Novato Human Needs no longer had the service of the delivery volunteer who brought food and furnishing to those in need, they decided to “jump on the band wagon” and raised funds to purchase a vehicle to donate to Novato Human Needs.

TEAM SURVIVAL

Team Survival
- Dan Hom, Anne-Jeanne Rothchild, Jennifer Goldfinger, Susan Byrne and Judd Foell.

This team has created a comprehensive informational 8.5 “ x 5x5” postcard about disaster preparedness that will be mailed to more than 22,000 households in Novato and surrounding areas. This postcard will be available in both Spanish and English.
