Businesses on Grant
Whether you are preparing for the Festival of Art, Wine & Music, Scream on the Green, Rock the Block, Nostalgia Days or the Fourth of July; there re ways that your business can maximize its businesses revenues even on days where Grant Avenue is closed. Capitalize on the added foot traffic with the tips below and contact the Novato Chamber, the LEADING business resource for the North Bay!
KEEP IT SIMPLE
For restaurants and food-based businesses try these tips:
- 3 - 5 item menu | Include at least one vegetarian option
- To-Go / Take-Out options to keep seating open.
- Change hours to be open during the busiest times of Scream on the Green and Safe-Trick-O-Treat | 10 am - 4 pm
Your business is going to be in front of 6000-8000 families--many of whom are NOT from Novato. By offering a sale to potential customers it may help you increase sales.
Get in the spirit of Halloween. Decorate your window and showcase Novato's Spooky Spirit. Work with your neighbors and pitch in together to create a stronger festival atmosphere that customers will be hard-pressed to forget.
Customers Only - thank you
Many businesses have concerns about bathroom use. Simply p[ut a sign out that states your business' bathroom policy clearly. Something like "restroom reserved for paying customers only" Do not forget to say 'please' and 'thank you.'
Print out coupons to give away with treats. As families come to trick-o-treat you have a unique chance to leave them with a deal that may entice them to return to your store at a later date. Giving away coupons is easy and can lead to future sales. You may contact the Chamber if you want help designing a striking coupon.
For restaurants, limit the options for guests and prepare to run that menu during the event and after. This makes purchasing easy, but let regular customers know this change is coming so they aren't caught off-guard.
Give away coupons for special deals for people who come back on a later date. This helps establishg return foot-traffic.
Run special sales! Discounts and show your community spirit by decorating your space!
