Shelley graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising & Design accompanied by a minor in Marketing. She completed her university internship with Famous Barr (May Company Dept Store in St Louis) and went into their management program. With 4 years of retail experience, she started with Monet Jewelers (at age 26) as a Regio
nal Trainer. During her 10 years with Monet, the company purchased Trifari Jewelry and Marvella Pearl. Shelley gained experience in different training, merchandising and sales positions covering a dozen states. Next, she went to Carol Dauplaise Jewelry as the West Coast rep. Carol showed Shelley the tips and tricks for starting and maintaining your own business and brand. After 1½ years, Shelley moved onto Swank Women’s Jewelry Division representing Anne Klein, Kenneth Cole, DKNY and Guess.
In 1999, Shelley and her husband Willie adopted two sisters (ages 2 & 6). She became a full time mom. Friends and family gave her jewelry to repair and re-design. Creating her own designs was exciting. Shell’s Belles Jewelry was launched in 2003. In 2006, a customer gave
her a vintage screw back clip earring to convert to pierced. Using her dad’s orthodontic wire bending instruments, she successfully converted the earring and that changed everything! Now 98% of her pieces are vintage re-designs. Selling at shows across the Bay Area and Olympia, WA. Her open-to-show is over 2000 different pairs of earrings. Bracelets, rings, pins plus a large assortment of vintage Christmas jewelry round out her collection.
Shell’s Belles Jewelry was the Micro Business of the year 2020 in the Novato Chamber. Shelley has been a Chamber member since 2014 and became a Chamber Ambassador in 2017. She volunteers with her therapy dog Floyd at two Novato assisted living residences and at her Episcopal church. Shelley created a program for local pre-schools called “How to meet a dog”. Floyd is quite a celebrity in Novato. She is also a member of the Novato Women’s Network, Marin Women at Work and Marin Wedding Pros.
Shelley and her husband Willie have lived in Novato since 1994. They have two grown daughters and love to explore in their travel trailer with their two miniature schnauzers.

I often tell people I have the greatest job in the world. I give away money, it's not mine, and most people love me…I value relationships above all, and I enjoy doing loans for varied clients from the first-time homebuyer to the sophisticated investor. I cover most of the United States for residential 1 to 4-unit purchases, refinances and 1031 exchanges. I am experienced in handling all types of mortgage needs from conventional, conforming and non-conforming loans to government FHA and VA loans, bridge loans, private money needs, construction and have now added some light commercial and reverse mortgage financing. Past jobs include VP residential sales for Bank of America and Senior Loan officer for Wells Fargo and PNC Bank.
During the past 18 years as a mortgage consultant, I have earned numerous awards and recognition and have been consistently ranked in the top 10% of the companies I have worked with both nationally and regionally in production and customer service since 2001.
I am a former board member of the Downtown Business Association and NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Realtors) and sit on the board of the newly formed Novato Evening Rotary Group as membership chair.
It's your business how old you are, it's mine how old you look

Having played Minor league baseball in my prime youth years, and a current active yoga enthusiast, it helps me to be a strong, conscious, present, and compassionate negotiator. I utilize the latest technology, social media, and television while marketing your home through competitive insight.
